Welcome to Hazelhurst Stables Hazelhurst Stables is just off the A272 at Strood Green, West Sussex. Justin and Frances run a secure and professional equestrian business, comprising a range of services. They produce and sell young horses and ponies, provide livery services, and offer training and re-training options. Justin makes a buying trip to Ireland every two to three months, to ensure that he always has a range of both novice and experienced horses to offer for sale. Frances looks after the livery side of the business and offers dressage training, to enable riders to develop their horses to their full potential. There is an indoor and an outdoor sand-school, both floodlit, a total of 17 well-equipped boxes and a secure tack room. The yard is in the middle of beautiful hunting country, with miles of public and private bridleways close by. Livery options We offer several options: full livery; training livery tailored to your individual requirements; breaking livery and sale livery. Every horse in our care can have its own individual feeding programme, using our high-quality feed supplies. Horses are wormed every 13 weeks and we keep a comprehensive log for each horse. Worming and supplements are at owners’ cost. Each horse has daily checks including stable, bedding, legs, rugs, and for general health and well-being. We can accommodate stallions. Sale livery If you wish to sell your horse but do not have the time or facilities to do so, we will keep him in livery, bringing him into peak condition for sale if necessary, advertise him and find the right buyer for him. Training / competition livery Frances will create an individual work programme for your horse, and will ride and compete him to enable him to reach his full potential. Dressage is a speciality. Breaking livery Justin takes a kind and traditional approach to breaking in horses. He will take your horse through the most vital early stages of his life and help set him up for the job you need him to do, from a family cob to a top competition horse. Extras We offer clipping, remedial care, and show preparation - all done on the premises. Please ask if your horse has special requirements.
